Luke earned a bachelor's degree from The University of Illinois College of Pharmacy with emphasis in the Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1986. He began his career as a
professional sales representative with Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company as a marketing representative. He is the Chief Pharmacist of Fitzgerald Pharmacy in Morrison, IL, which he has owned for the past 15 years. With a junior partner, Luke also owns Eggleston's Pharmacies in Sycamore and Genoa, IL.
Luke has served the National Community Pharmacists Association as a steering committee member on Third Party Payment Plans. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the board of directors of a nationally designated "Critical Access Hospital" in Morrison, IL. Luke served the Illinois Pharmacists Association as its President from 2006--2007, and as Chairman of the Board from 2007--2008. He is currently serving as Secretary of the organization's financial foundation. He also serves as a preceptor for experiential education for several colleges of pharmacy including the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy.
Luke's proudest professional accomplishment is the small role he may have played in facilitating the development of the fine example of professional intellect, integrity and passion that is displayed in his Pharmacist Business Partner.
Scott is the Executive Vice President of the Illinois Council of Health-System Pharmacists, the Illinois affiliate of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. As the executive staff officer of ICHP, Scott is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Council, acts as its continuing pharmaceutical education administrator for the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education programs, and is a member of the Dean's Advisory Committee at the Midwestern University, Chicago State University Colleges of Pharmacy and the Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville School of Pharmacy. He is Vice Chair and member of the Board of Governors of the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, Inc. Scott is also a licensed lobbyist in the State of Illinois and serves as Treasurer of ICHP's Political Action Committee. In 2007 he was appointed to the newly established Commission on Continuing Pharmacy Education of the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education; he currently serves as the Commission's Chair.
Prior to and during his early time with ICHP, Scott worked for 22 years in health-system pharmacy with additional experience in community and home care pharmacy practice. Scott received his BS in Pharmacy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He received a Master of Science in Health Service Administration from St. Francis University in Joliet, IL. In 2004, Scott became a Fellow of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. In addition, Scott serves on the Board of Directors of the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy Alumni Association.
