People always argue about the "old diru" and "new diru". I personally like the very old stuff and the recent stuff, but I dislike the "middle part" of their career. Lol.

@evillurkswithinusall : I just liked looking at their clothes, but it isn't why I loved them. If anything I just miss the contacts, weird make up and hair dye. That's it though. For me, it's all about the music. I love the music, love the lyrics. And they are amazing no matter how they look.

I don't blame them for stopping with the ridiculous outfits. Bands that mature, evolve, change have longevity. Bands that don't... well, die. Visual Kei nowadays is an utter joke. It's shit in my opinion. I graduated a long time ago from 90's visual kei to Japanese indies and have never looked back. I will take them dressing normal. Dir en grey have always been about the music for me. They are just a fun band that have always wrote poppy and addictive songs.

they changed their style because they were pissed about the side effect of visual kei: you never know if people/fangirls love you for your music or for your look. and they did have mostly female fans screaming like crazy and doing these weird arranged moves during performances (in japan). it's no wonder for me they did these male-only recently.
and for all you crybabies like "ohh i don't like what they do now and they look so ugly" they changed because of YOU.
