@wfamdaxj well i can agree with one thing, and that is the style of music, TD did the best music at the 70's/80's
but hey! do you seriusly think that Edgar would stay on same track after 40 years? :) no musican would do that.
im getting older aswell.. and im thinking/wishing that it would be great if TD has that older sound, but its just wishes, its stupid to think so, everything changes either we like it or not.

@wfamdaxj TD no longer exist. What exists now is Edgar Froese stubbornly trying to carry the name on. Now, when they "play" the classic old tracks live it sounds like Tangerine Dream Karaoke, like they are literally playing over the original tracks, and ruining them. When you get the likes of Johannes Schmoelling and Chris Franke leaving then its maybe time to call it a day. I think the last TD CD I bought was Melrose, after that I stopped bothering with them.

I did, and it made me agree with the above statements even more!!! They are right, TD was best with three blokes blasting waves through your brain. None of this sax, drums, guitar, and violin - they are just diversionary tactics to stop you listening closer. Superficial!!

I freaking LOVE this. this is my all time favorite lineup too. Froese, Franke, and Schmoelling. I don't think that this perfect cosmic alignment will ever happen again in the TD rank , but it was sooo nice when it was going on. Love it!!

If you wish for more music in the 70s TD style, you're in luck: Mark Shreeve's Red Shift band has done several albums in that style, with the same instruments and techniques. You can get their music at musiczeit. It's almost as good as discovering TD made albums you'd never heard of between Rubycon and Stratosfear.

edger has to get a grip get out that band if misfits and get the old team together again and dig out the old analog and give us some blissfull sounds again
tangerine dream as they should sound............ no saxaphone, no drums and no bloody women singers. they were so wonderfull to watch, 3 people making beautifull blankets of sounds that just captured you and washed all over you like a musical tsunami. now its like watching and listening to a fairground act. the crowd only coming to life when an old piece is re- worked into the set. Come on edgar........ sort it out before you cant and you look back and wish you had, for the fans. we deserve i

@wfamdaxj Couldn't agree with you more. IMO, TD ceased to be once Chris Franke left the band after the 1987 Berlin concert. Now they're just Tangerine Dream in name only.

I disagree with you, listen to the album: Janne D'Arc.

@TheKKVfmVVO Well i've just listened to the tracks La Sagesse du Destin and La Joie.... sorry did absolutely nothing for me. Edgar had to sneak a sax in there too :-( Give me a Jupiter 8, PPG, Minimoog, + Chris's polyrhythmic sequences any day !!!
