Amazingly only 26 Warner Bros shorts have been nominated for an Oscar, 8 of them Chuck's. Only 5 have won, and only one was Chuck. That one being For Scent-imental Reasons, which is a great short. But it's hard to believe it's his only Oscar winner under Warner Bros. He did win another Oscar for The Dot & The Line, and a lifetime achievement Oscar.

  • @kingboobs20 Well the short I was referring to did win an Academy award, but I guess it didn't go the Chuck. I've seen that one I don't know how that got an Oscar but What's Opera Doc., One Froggy Evening, or The Rabbit of Seville doesn't and I love Duck Amuck.

No, the Slyvester/Speedy shorts were Friz Freleng's creation. Chuck has never done a Speedy cartoon.

  • How would you compare Chcuks Jones animation to Japanese animation (not Studio Ghibil)?

  • @kingboobs20 I thought that Chuck got one of his Academy Awards for a Sylvester and Speedy short. The one where Sylvester is guarding a cheese factory and Speedy gets the cheese for the mice of the town.

I do too, but Foghorn was entirely the work of Robert McGimson (who is underrated) and Sylvester's shorts were mostly done by Freleng and McGimson, though Chuck did do the fantastic Porky & Sylvester horror trilogy that was Scaredy Cat/Claws for Alarm/Jumpin' Jupiter.

  • Haha "The one in the middle may remain, the rest of you.."

  • I always liked Sylvester. He's highly underrated. And I got a kick out of Foghorn Leghorn.

  • AWWWW I love Pepe Le Pew ^o^ hes my favorite.

I also love how much life Chuck Jones gave to everyone of his character's, and so true... no matter how hard we try to be Bugs Bunny, were still a Daffy including me -_-lol

  • LOVE THE KNOWLEDGE ON THESE AWESOME TRUE CARTOONS

CARTOONS ARE FUNNY SIMPLY FUNNY ...FANTASTIC
