Hot Stepping Granny Instructional Series: HOW TO STOP

If you're going to roller skate, you're going to need to know how to stop!!! I noticed that a guy had put of my stopping clips up onto You Tube. I've put the whole lot of stopping clips together with titles and music. Which should make things a whole lot easier for you if you want to learn how to stop your skates from rolling successfully. If you're just starting out learning to roller skate - for God's sake, wear some protective padding until you feel confident enough to roll without it!!! Happy practising.

The outdoor skates, Red with white pinstripes (plastic) are Trezzeta Champions, converted ice hockey boots, Playmaker Zytel plates, oversized Hyper Rollo 78a softness wheels. The indoor skates, white ankle high leather are very old Riedell 122 (old school) boots, which I cleaned, restored and refurbed with new laces and red toe guards. The plates are suregrip Marathons, Radar Devil Ray wheels.

Yes - using the back stopper to stop with. Leg with the stopper out in front, bend the rear leg and apply pressure to the extended leg with the stopper on it.

Sorry Guys: Pressure = Mylo - Eple = Royksopp - I did a mix of the 2 I seem to recall. Sheesh I'm a skater not a DJ.
