What began in 2009 as a quiet rumble of discontent blossomed into a movement over health care and rocked the nation with the election of Scott Brown. Now fired up Conservatives are bringing that energy to DC for the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). Yesterday CPAC began with an abundance of Conservative leaders coming together from across the country. Republicans, Conservatives and Libertarians will mingle with the tea partiers, now recognized as a force even by The New York Times that buried an ACORN/Obama expose before the 2008 presidential election. The perceived and much hyped divides that exist within the movement have many taking sides and others looking to assume control and dictate how President Obama and his radical Administration should be contested.

Anita MonCrief is a blogger and writer in Washington, DC. She is also the ACORN/Project Vote whistle blower.

She has worked with the American Bar Association Central European and Eurasian Law Initiative; the International Crisis Group; Grameen Foundation and Project Vote/ACORN. Anita has partnered with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe on their mission to Macedonia as an election observer. In 2005, she joined the Strategic Writing and Research Department of ACORN Political Operations and its affiliate, Project Vote.

In 2008 Anita came forward to expose the damage that ACORN has done to impoverished and marginalized communities. She also began to blog and write about corruption within the ACORN/Project Vote network of corporations. Anita is also a social artist and her works promote social change and poverty eradication.

ACORN is doing everything it can to intimidate Anita and others like her from telling the public what they know about ACORN. In June 2009, Project Vote and ACORN filed a lawsuit against Anita to try to get her to stop talking. The defense fund was created to help Anita with her very expensive legal fees during this crucial battle for Anitas First Amendment rights so that she may continue to tell her brave story.

She is a wonderful intelligent woman who "opened" her closed mind and is doing a great job protecting our Constitution and the Bill of Rights. There will always be the "potty" mouthed not so intelligent people who will attempt to silence those people who are doing the "correct" and Patriot things to protect the American People while this is still a FREE REPUBLIC!!!
