How to get Adobe After Effects CS4 free (Mac)

1 -- Make sure you've run a CS4 app once (use trial if asked). Quit any open CS4 apps.
Step 2 -- If you've previously entered a serial, load any CS4 app, go to the Help menu and Deactivate. Quit any open CS4 apps.
Step 3 -- Open Terminal (found in Applications/Utilities/). In the terminal window, paste in:
sudo /Applications/TextEdit.app/Contents/MacOS/TextEdit /etc/hosts
Step 4 -- Hit return and type in your admin password.
Step 5 -- A file will automatically open in TextEdit. In TextEdit, add new line at the bottom of the document and paste in the following:
127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 practivate.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 ereg.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 activate.wip3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 wip3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 3dns-3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 3dns-2.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 adobe-dns.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 adobe-dns-2.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 adobe-dns-3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 ereg.wip3.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 activate-sea.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 wwis-dubc1-vip60.adobe.com
127.0.0.1 activate-sjc0.adobe.com
Step 6 -- Save the file. Do NOT do a "Save As". Close the file.
Step 7 -- Launch any CS4 app and enter the serial from the keygen. The serial will last for decades.

@BeyondUniversity no you just need to enter the serial number when it asks

Instead of typing "sudo /Applications/TextEdit.app/Con­tents/MacOS/TextEdit /etc/hosts"

You can type "sudo -s" to show that you are the administrator

And then "open /etc/hosts"

And then follow this amazing tut !

sudo nano /etc/hosts worked on the file and the serials he provided worked as well. Great video!

the hosts file couldn't be edited so i use "sudo nano /etc/hosts" and i edited it in nano but the serials don't work for me, anyone kno what i should do?

@AlbaSoldier09 Cd5 is better but you can't use CS5 on a 32-bit so if you have a 32-bit, the only thing you can do is use CS4. and if you have the 64-bit then i recommend CS5
