Do a name study on Jesus ...evil is not the "true" Christ....you are reading the writings of the first pope Paul/Saul...In proper perspective all things make perfect sense. The name "God " refers to paganism which is the Catholic so-called Christian Religion described fully in Revelation=666

@clykdd Taking the Bible as a whole would be valid if it were written that way. But it wasn't. The Bible is a collection of writings from disparate authors, compiled together after the fact. It is perfectly valid to criticize Matthew in the absence of the other NT works, because Matthew was probably unfamiliar with them (though some argue that Matthew was familiar with Mark...).

Your comment about Jesus mother Mary being a descendant of Aaron is an assumption based on the knowledge that she is related to Elizabeth (luke 1:36). The relationship is not exactly spelled out so it is still possible that Mary was in the line of David. However, Mary's lineage is not given in the bible, unless you accept the theory that the lineage provided by Luke is really through Mary and not Joseph. I haven't committed to any theory of her lineage.

I am a christian and appreciate your response to 99minerkc. However, I your response lacks knowledge of the scriptures. Even the devil can use the word of God to make his case. I'm not calling you the devil. Remember, Jesus says that He will deny many who call themselves christian. Matt 7:23. The bible even says that there will be those who have a form of godly devotion, but prove false to it's power. 2 timothy 3:1-5
