Scene from Christmas Holiday, a 1944 Universal Pictures film starring Deanna Durbin. In this unusually long Solemn High Mass scene, we are treated to snippets from a real Midnight Mass celebrated at the former Cathedral of Saint Vibiana, the mother church cathedral parish of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles built in 1876. The cathedral has since been taken over by the city and is now used as event space.
Beautiful.

@davidwcooney yes you have by trading ideas and taking standpoints we are debating... is this what we get with government funded public schooling???? Debating style shebating schmile... you were, cry and deny the truth as you might, (as with everything else) this exchange of ideals we live by is in fact a debate...point and counterpoint... go back to school.. a real one please.

@davidwcooney here you are say "farewell" yet you cannot even be faithful to your own words... sad you can't honor what you say. This shows you will lie with no regard for your own word... just an egotistical rant to win at any cost.. even lying.

@davidwcooney no I said you would find scriptures even out of context to battle Gods Word. Ya know what interesting, you word is so weak you couldn't even stand by your own words when you said you were finished, which means you lied...what else are you capable of? More lies, of course we already established you do.

@nasticanasta Sorry. I have not debated you. I have simply pointed out your own lies and directed you to where you can get the biblical references you requested. My debating style is quite different, as you would know if you had bothered to check out the posts to which I directed you before. Well, maybe some others who have followed this won't be as scared as you seem to be, and will actually check it out.

@nasticanasta Oh, you caught me in a typo. That must mean everything I wrote is wrong.

@nasticanasta I didn't say that at all, I said that the look of the ritual and the things used for it were obviously not at the Last Supper.

@nasticanasta So, you admit that there ARE scriptures which directly contradict what you are arguing AND that YOU ignore them because it doesn't fit your belief. Catholics absolutely believe that we are justified by faith, therefore, we accept all of these verses. We also accept those verses you reject because we actually believe everything that scripture teaches. We understand that it cannot contradict itself. Scripture says we are justified by grace through both faith and works.
