you better be dying if you're in the emergency room in america. money can buy you some surgery, but if you've got what most people have, 'bad or no health-care', you are going to wait at least 8 hours on a major city even get looked at.

From there, you're most likely to just get referred to a specialist. And there's another dead-end if your insurance doesn't think what's ailing you is something you won't have to live with.

Ron Paul is great and all... he's just a good idea though.

I will look into it. I am not opposed to the idea that our health care stays in the free market, but I have not heard of a way that people how need the help can get it with out paying tons of money. In till that happens I will be voting for people that will be working towards getting us a national health care.

My uncle is a doctor I know how health care in America works. My mom and her side of the family are all from England. My grandfather has had 3 surgeries, he was a janitor at a middle school for 40 years before he retired. I know how there works too. It does have its problems (most of it being not enough hospitals in very populated areas) but when we compare it to ours we just look sad

I have never seen moores sicko. If you look at the top health care systems TODAY they are run by the government. In the 60's time was different; it would be look into why we fell so far in our health care. My grandfather is a vet and there is no argument here about how terrible there care is. That is why so many things would have to change before this could be possible.

If you want a good read, go out and get "The Revolution" A manifesto by Ron Paul. This is written by a Doctor and Congressman who knows how this whole big ugly game works.

I'm not trying to argue, seriously, go ask a doctor how it works. The government ruins quality and raises prices. I've talked to British guys when they came to my town on vacation and we talked about this as well. Some of them stated you have to wait months to get in, and if you go to the emergency room, you better be dying because otherwise you'll be sitting forever. Do you know the government almost demanded HMOs in the 70's, they messed it up and now are going to try and act like saviors

No, the best healthcare systems are not run by the government, and I get my information from a doctor. In the 1960s whent there was still competition in the healthcare market America was known for having the greatest healthcare and doctors in the world. Anybody could go see a doctor and afford it and insurance was cheap and meant for major catastrophies. My dad is a Vietnam vet and I know damn well how horrible his treatment is. Europe's & Canada's systems are flawed, Michael Moore is an ass
