Search & Destroy VanWilliams Shorter Version

This is about half the size of the other "Search & Destroy" starring Van Williams, I put up before .. It IS a true story and was a pilot . did not sell .. So, Van did "The Green Hornet" and that was how we met and have remained friends for sooo many years ..

The torpedoes were going under the submarines even though the scope & dials showed that they were set to hit the ships or submarines .. they were kind of 'laughing stock' cause they never hit anything .. they were given an assignment to pick up British Military and nurses on a small island . naturally, ran into trouble along the way .. and eventually, figured out that the readings were wrong! .. once corrected .. STRIKES galore .. no laughing matter anymore ..

Really a super pilot . but would have been expensive to film .. who knows why 'the network' did not buy it .. but they did not .. Van really wanted to do it as a series .. he did many and you can see them at imdb.com, along with all his credits (most?) .. I thought it was great too . but we never would have met .. funny, how, if a path goes a different way .. where would we be? ..

There is fighting on the island .. of course, topedoes fired almost constantly .. great shots of submarines (stock, perhaps) ..

Would you have liked this to go? .. Or were you a fan of "The Green Hornet" that did go .. that was done not camp as "Batman" was, because the producer did not want it to be camp ... I think GH could have gone longer had it been 'camp' . it is a cult favorite now .. Bruce Lee following is big .. but so is VAN! ..
