I am so proud of these teachers. =]

@swasnation obviously because you have never faced persecution and automatic hatred from some groups for something that is core to you individuality. You've never felt the need to HIDE being straight. coming out is more a rite of passage for the individual.

I had gay professors in college (absolutely brilliant minds to boot), so if kids aren't ready to deal with gay teachers, they're in for a rude awakening.
-
@marcsman229 Funny that you act as sarcastically as you do about Glee, because that's exactly how people act/react, because they are too childish and perverse to realise that love isn't just about fucking. But, hey, that's all they'll focus on.
Homosexuality is a dilemma. It's not famine or disease...but it's important just the same. People are dying just for being who they are, not to mention in other countries they are outlawing it outright. So whatever, man, if it's not important to you.

@marcsman229 I tend to prefer calm over conflict. AND? Discriminating over people just because they experience feelings, sexual or otherwise, toward the opposite sex is WRONG - that is ALL I am saying. And America, being largely a Christian nation, chock full of SHEEPLE, who, from reading some old-ass book, believe that gays are not worthy of marrying, etc, the person they love is WRONG. It's all-around unfair. So, YES, more laws and protections.

@dmastor o...k....valid point.but what about the kid who has 2 gay fathers, or lesbian mothers. what if he(she) invites their friend over . you're going to have to get used to gay parents.
-
@laserthebeam I see what you are saying, But I do think it can influence kids, Honestly Not all gay people are gay It's real hard for me to believe that a 8 year old care about sex at all.
-
@breakingthisdown So, that's your excuse now? "Douchebags with superiority complex" What a safe excuse. What do you want, then? Everybody holding hands singing kumbaya? Be practical, moron. Anti-discrimination laws aren't enough, then? You want more laws? Oh wait, that's what they're doing now and it's making it worse along with the media over portraying 'homosexuality' as the world's biggest dilemma. Look at shows like Glee. 'Homosexuals' have sexual intercourse and make out!? *gasp*
-
@marcsman229 Also, they're getting annoyed because IT'S NOT THEIR PROBLEM. Hence, they do not care about the people/couples/families being affected. Created equal, my ass.
-
@marcsman229 Wth does a person's body-type have to do with 'coming out'? Please, enlighten me.
Here's the thing: If there weren't so many douchebags with a superiority complex on this planet, we would have no need at all to be requesting rights that should actually be a fucking given. It's because it's made into a problem in the first place, when they're people just like you and I, that there's this 'gay agenda'.
I am a girl and I am telling you I am totally not gay. End of story.
Knowing that there are gay adults in positions of responsibility and trust nearby is a great comfort and a boost to the self esteem of young gay kids who may be having a hard time at home (mostly becasue they have parents like the assholes on this board, who tell them that their identity is wrong and disgusting and imposed from outside by molestors and propaganda). These kids are far more likely to kill themselves becasue they have NO SUPPORT CIRCLE just a gang of nasty haters at home.

seriously
Who gives a a rat fuck about a teacher being gay or not
as long as it doesn't interfere with student learning along with causing danger or harm to anyone
it should NOT be a issue
