you do realise that contrary to what you say and popular belief among teaching professionals is that the golf ball actually starts more towards where the clubface is aiming and the swing path determines the spin on the ball. More correctly this is called the D PLANE. trackman has even proven that face angle determines the initial starting direction of the ball. google 'd plane'

@michaeljames92 Thank you for your great comment, I am sure your info will prove very popular for golfer learning how to draw the ball. For any golfers looking to draw the golf ball you must understand clubface and clubpath and how they connect with eachother to hit a good draw. I feel that some golfers rely on feel rather than just stats to hit good golf shots to. Please feel free to leave comments on Mark's videos as we love to hear what golfers are feeling and reading.

@dschultz6072 i disagree. how would a fade go as far as a draw, when the hit is more oblique?

If you aim your body right of target, close the club face to aim to the target, then swing along your body line right of target you WILL hit the ball out to the right then draw it back.

If it works for an unintended hook, it sure as heck works when you intentionally do the same thing (closed at impact) to try to get the same results.

@NovaScene you're probably hitting a weak high fade by adding loft to the clubface. fade and draw should go the same distance, assuming you actually hit them optimally.

I have noticed that some of the guys hitting a draw on the driving range tend to make a nicer looking arc and the ball usually stops pretty much where it landed. I strugle with a fade on my irons atm and have noticed that a fade usually takes distance of the ball and doesn't stop so nicely. Should I try to start learning a DRAW or should I just try to perfect the FADE that I already got?
