This is a series of videos on dedicated Pong systems including the ones from Atari. There were dozens of these made thoughout the world in the 1970s to early 1980s. You can see what the systems look like, what the paddles look like and even get to see the artwork on the boxes. Sense they are pretty close to one another and a lot came out in a short period, I am not going to rate these, just review them. This was a special time in video game history that is long game. At least thee videos help preserve the games for others to see. Please rate and comment as I do not get paid to do this.

  • ah Pong. I'm assuming this is pre Odyssey 2, which had cartridges instead of the built in Pong games. This is pretty uproarious though - who would've thought you would need a set of instructions to figure out Pong; you just grab your paddles and you're set!

  • @JoeChrisMorris watch my "pong wars" and that should help

  • Make sure you watch "Pong Wars". A mini-documentary that I made abou the history of Pong.

  • yeah, ur right, this is quite a mess. I wouldn't mind it if it served itself. Im guessing the weird connection and box is the same one on the Odyssey

  • I'd have to check on that but the Od 1 and 2 are not pong systems so they were not done in this batch. In my next batch, I am doing the wonder wizard pong game which has magnavox style connectors. werird.

  • perfect review!

  • I believe we had one of those before dad bought an Atari 2600

  • what an incredible piece of hardware!

  • This would be more rad than it already is if you transferred it to VHS, then back before uploading.

  • The brown colors, the hair, the systems. Eveything about you screams vintage man, well done!!!!!

  • "Who needs instruction manuals...............for PONG". lol! Awesome reviewer!

  • It's easy to diss this now, but when you had very little else to compare it to, it must have been "magical" to see yourself control something on the tv (remember how anyone who appeared on tv was considered a huge celebrity)?

Anyway, your voice reminds me of Ricardo Torres from GameSpot... but I'm sure it's just coincidence :)

  • This is the first video game console I ever owned. Totally brings back memories.
