@AhazAlford yes i agree. i will admit that it boils down to opinion regarding terms and the extent of the meanings they carry, to plenty of folks my view would be wrong and thats ok by me. all i intended to mean was that playing one specific title/series/genre isnt what makes someone a gamer, but the choice itself to play the game(s) :)

@Archios11 There is such thing as a "casual gamer," you know?

I don't know how many people will agree with me, but I palyed Fallout 1, and I loved it, I played Fallout 2, and loved it. I play Fallout 3, and I love it the most. It is freaking awesome, especially with the mods, like MMM nad FOOK.

I like Fallout but Oblivion was just so much better, you had guilds, loads more fun and expansive quests, weapons felt cooler, skills were better (you didn't just increase them every time you leveled you actually had to do certain actions to level them) and the story line was much more gripping

cant wait till fallout vegas comes =)
respectfully, i disagree.
simply playing a game does not make a person a gamer, any average joe can do that. what makes a person a gamer is the choice to make video games a part of your life, and the dedication to the art of the digital worlds we experience. at least that is the way i see it. that being said, it is advisable to play the old games to really experience the universe that is fallout
