This is part 5 of 10 of the film "Occupation101"
p.s.: The movies in this channel are rated (R) by American media outlets for scenes of extensive exposure to the truth!
A thought-provoking and powerful documentary film on the current and historical root causes of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Unlike any other film ever produced on the conflict -- 'Occupation 101' presents a comprehensive analysis of the facts and hidden truths surrounding the never ending controversy and dispels many of its long-perceived myths and misconceptions.
The film also details life under Israeli military rule, the role of the United States in the conflict, and the major obstacles that stand in the way of a lasting and viable peace. The roots of the conflict are explained through first-hand on-the-ground experiences from leading Middle East scholars, peace activists, journalists, religious leaders and humanitarian workers whose voices have too often been suppressed in American media outlets.
The film covers a wide range of topics -- which include -- the first wave of Jewish immigration from Europe in the 1880's, the 1920 tensions, the 1948 war, the 1967 war, the first Intifada of 1987, the Oslo Peace Process, Settlement expansion, the role of the United States Government, the second Intifada of 2000, the separation barrier and the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, as well as many heart wrenching testimonials from victims of this tragedy.

There are so many problems here. 1) the promises made about land in the bible are made to the israelites who ethnically were destroyed through war and intermixing over 1,000 years ago. 2) ca. 300bc many people in that region converted to Judaism but weren't israelites. 3) the bible though inspired by god was written by Israelites and everything in it is filtered through their desires and understanding of reality. 4) other nations had similar traditions legitimizing their people land / purpose.

Isreal in the bible becacme little Isreal, a figurative one. Basically the hearers & doers of the word. The hearers & doers of the word can be anyone from anywhere making up God's people.

and so if blacks are being treated that way in egypt or wherever, you think it's appropriate for israelis to kill muslims in palestine and take over their land. "I'll donate TONS to AIPAC if they promise to do that!" and you are talking about racism. you are a joke.

Wow. So sad.
Christians of America and the world, of which I am one, are you followers of Jesus Christ and his gospel of love for others and peace or are you a follower of the zionist views that are held by preachers like Pat Robertson and John Hagee? I like John Hagee's messages, but when it comes to this topic he is choosing to honor certain Old Testament texts written to the Jews in 800BC about land. JESUS said "Love your neighbor as yourself and to love your enemies".
Who do you follow?
