@djtravmachine Fuckin finally dude. I've been saying for way too long that dubstep was a UK thing. Derived from various beat-heavy genres (2-step, grime, etc.). People legit tell me the genre was "invented" by Bassnectar and other such artists, most of whom aren't actually even "dubstep"!! Agree with you 100%. Although, most of the noise is worth losing your head over anyway :D

This is glitch-hop, a stylistic blending of the glitch genre with the "get crunk" attitude of hip-hop. An instrumental song consisting of prominent and grimey basslines and pounding electronic beats doesn't make a song dubstep. Dubstep developed from UK garage 2-step music blended with dub samples and style. By "definition" many Bassnectar songs are actually glitch-hop. So long story short, if you ain't a fuckin music snob asshole or a DJ with too much time on his hands(me) then just enjoy it!
