qualcuno mi sa spiegare perhè incidente diplomatico????

perché eseguono una danza di guerra maori(l'haka)che le donne non hanno diritto di fare e per questo sono state mosse critiche da parte di alcune autorità neozelandesi per questo.ovviamente incidente diplomatico è un pochino esagerato(giusto un po' :P)ma pensa che hanno chiesto che lo spot non venisse più mandato in onda

Vedo che l'ironia è di casa da queste parti... ^^

Lo spot è carino e il messaggio è chiaro: "Ci vuole grinta per essere madri". Non mi pare voglia veicolare chissà che messaggio sulla femminilità o prendere in giro l'Haka o i neozelandesi.

Ma se preferite gli spot demenziali degli assorbenti... ^^

è soltanto un omaggio alla cultura Maori! Dovrebbero invece essere grati che l'haka sia così popolare all'estero da essere perfino usato in una pubblicità!! sarà pur fatto per vendere una macchina ma mostra quanto la cultura maori sia ritenuta cool!

se l'Italia ha dovuto leccare il culo alla NuovaZelanda per questo spot, e ha dovuto ritirarlo, significa che già da allora non valeva un cazzo. I nostri politici non valgono un cazzo, e sono stupidi.

Adesso che ci sono i mondiali ho cercato i video della hakka..dopo aver visto la versione dei tifosi cineei a shanghai. Credo sia ovvio che una danza tanto significativa trovi imitatori ed utilizzi diversi..è è natuarle (e la Veneiza finta che hanno rifatto negli States?..parliamone). A me, da donna, sembrò un messaggio pubblicitario molto intelligente..in Nuova Zelanda, 3mln di abitanti,..questo lato della "lotta quotidiana" non è noto...

i am a new zealander and i am both white and maori , i was watching this with a group of people at a meeting and we were totally impressed. no one was offended. We were really happy about the fact that a country so far from us and bigger than us decided to use the haka for an advert , the only thing we werent impressed about was the ladies should have given their all with the expressions , its suppose to look really fierce. overall i really enjoyed the video :)

I've been studying Anthropology for several years now, I suggest you drop your inflammatory argument before you seem more ridiculous. Ethnocentrism implies that I think my customs are better than someone else's, which is clearly not the case. The Haka, when performed properly, by the Maori people, has significance and meaning, but a Rugby team composed of mostly Anglo people has no real link to it. It's as if I decided to perform a Native American rain dance on TV, it's still misappropriation

@TheMashusama no it is not a gimmick, if you are not a New Zealander, Maori or someone who has spent a lot of time in New Zealand and studied Maori culture then you do not really know of what you speak. Your ethnocentric view that the haka is a 'gimmick' is offensive and quite wrong. That you even think you can speak of what is my culture speaks of misguided arrogance. How dare you speak for New Zealanders and/or Maori and defend cultural appropriation when you do not know of either.

@jaineynzed If the All Blacks happened to be mostly Maori (rather than mostly white), I would possibly agree with your point. That, however, is not the case. I suggest you read over your comment and then apply it to them. It is a gimmick, just like the Fiat ad, but I recognize it for being clever. If you are a New Zealander, and not Maori, you have no reason to be offended, it is no more a part of your culture than anyone else's.

@TheMashusama The Maori were not offended, most New Zealanders weren't? That's a big group of people to speak for. I find the ad offensive and I'm not Maori - if you think the haka at rugby games is just a 'gimmick' then you are foolish indeed. The ad clearly shows they have no idea of the meaning of haka. Cultural misappropriation for commercial gain is tacky and offensive.
