Structure Fire2011-04-21

At around 3-4 Pm, East Syracuse Fire was dispatched to 1508 James st regarding heavy smoke in the area. East Syracuse/DeWitt police units arrived and soon found the source of the smoke to be a garage with living space above,Fire was visible inside of the garage. ESFD arrived and immediately called "Signal 99". Mattydale and Hinsdale were both called for mutual aid, DeWitt engine 8 soon arrived on scene, as well as an engine from mattydale. Fire was knocked down in about 30 minutes. A car was visible in the garage that had been burning, it is thought that the gas tank in the vehicle was the cause of the blaze. Minoa, North Syracuse were called for coverage move up to East Syracuse stations
