Story of my Life - Jestre DeRama

Pretty much half parody with a few things to make you think, but it's my first go at rap/hip hop. Enjoy! I hope to make an EP at least with better stuff. It'll likely be titled "Cult of Personality."
LYRICS:

Jestre is my name, my friend.
I'm not standing here to offend.
This is an intro that'll transpire.
Just so you don't have to inquire.

I'm a simple guy you may know.
I'm not really here to make a big show.
I'm just a random white guy.
Honestly, I'm not all that fly.

I'm not all about waving a gun.
I'm just here to have some fun.
Out of all the other crap,
isn't that what makes real rap?

It's nice to see a gorgeous lady,
but hey I'm not some Slim Shady.
Repetitive as this song may get,
that's today's music, wouldn't you bet?

So a chicken went to cross the road.
And there he met some small toad.
Turns out it was really Frogger,
in some bar drinking a lager.

Frogger just sat there really depressed.
"I got let go." he did express.
The chicken went to Frogger's right side,
to be one in which to confide.

Sure, that story didn't make much sense,
but did you want to hear some suspense?
I only said it to make you feel good.
Just like some entertainer really should.



That was kinda talking about something like politics and the current economy.
You know, to be the selling point of this song?

Honestly, I am glad to see there are artists that do something for the art in which they hold interst.

And although it's nice to see yourself labeled on something to strike it big on income, if you had the choice would you disallow that?

At this point in my life in the fall season of 2011, I want to do whatever it takes to help my family prosper, just like the rest of the middle class.

If some random white guy like me can find an outlet of self-expression whether it be a hobby or otherwise, amid YOUR daily routine stick with something you love.

Just remember...there are always friends and family there to help you, so don't feel you have to fight the world alone. They'll support you, but you need to step forward for yourself.
