i prefer to just get 1 of the many ps2 to ps3 controller converter ports, since then i can use any ps2 controller on my ps3 (or racing wheel or dance mat or guitar hero guitar etc.), and more importantly i can use any of the custom made ps2 controllers for use with my ps3.
