Bonne Terre Mine located in Bonne Terre Missouri. Contains the world's largest underground lake at over 1 billion gallons. Listed as one of National Geographic's Top 10 Adventures and also listed in the top 100 of America's Best in National Geographics Adventure Magazine.
BTM is an AWESOME place to learn to dive. While the water is cold, it's crystal clear, with visibility over 100 feet! Most divers who get certified in Missouri make their cert dives in lakes, and it SUCKS! You can hardly see your hand in front of you face in most lakes. Very disconcerting for a new diver just learning. The dive tour guides are pros, trained in safety, and they know the mine. You can't dive without a guide.

BTM is not a good place to learn to dive. The instuctors / and video they show prior to diving in the mine are old and out dated for diving in overhead enviroments. I dove there last week and we put t there instructors to shame. We do it DIR style.

Dude seriously what were you thinking when you picked this music??? A video like this would have been better without any music. It would have been cool just to hear the ambient sounds and echoes of the caves.

interesting video.
But poor YouTube quality...and poor choice of music.

There is one thuing wrong, there is not 17 miles of tunnels, it is 17 miles of underground shoreline. I just took a tour of there yester day and it was the most amazing thing i have ever seen!! I WAS DUMBFOUNDED!!!

Also, when did you shoot this movie? I was wondering because if it was a few weeks before you posted the movie, there's a good chance I could be one of the divers jumping off the dock near the end!

Great video. The background info is very informative. I never knew they filmed 'The Abyss' down there.
Fascinating place you got there. Thanks for uploading.
