I witnessed a single car rollover MVA. Arrived on scene in my POV stopped to help. The boys from Claymont Fire Co arrived and Arriving medic decided that a young boy needed to be airlifted to trauma center. After i assessed the young boy and assisted the Medic, we carried the boy and loaded him into the helicopter.

  • where im from thats what we call a hot load... anytime the choppers blades are still engaged when we load the patient is a hot load... course everywhere has a diff definition.

  • ahh lol.. ok... it just looked like one... course where im from... we always do a hot load... idk why

  • It wasnt a hot load, the engline was in a low idol, its alot easier and more fuel efficient to turn the RPM's and fuel flow down than it is to shut the engine off completley.

  • Wow... was the boy in Critical Condition for a "hot load" or did they just want to save time?
