I witnessed a single car rollover MVA. Arrived on scene in my POV stopped to help. The boys from Claymont Fire Co arrived and Arriving medic decided that a young boy needed to be airlifted to trauma center. After i assessed the young boy and assisted the Medic, we carried the boy and loaded him into the helicopter.
where im from thats what we call a hot load... anytime the choppers blades are still engaged when we load the patient is a hot load... course everywhere has a diff definition.

It wasnt a hot load, the engline was in a low idol, its alot easier and more fuel efficient to turn the RPM's and fuel flow down than it is to shut the engine off completley.

Wow... was the boy in Critical Condition for a "hot load" or did they just want to save time?
