the brand new LifeStar 1 landing and taking off from the Oswegatchie Fire Department parking lot in Waterford, CT. the helicopter is so new in fact, that, when the video was shot (10/20/09) the chopper had only flown 1 emergency call. this was actually its first public education flight. this chopper's fully loaded weight is roughly 7200 lbs, and can fly at speeds up to 140 knots. LifeStar 1 and LifeStar 2 fly emergency transport calls within a 150 mile radius of Hartford Hospital in Hartford, and Backus Hospital in Norwich.
