I had a very similar deck when Lorwyn/Shadowmoor were in standard. Good times.

better as mono-green
and if u wish to not go mono. id rather focus on answers than clone witchever makes another randomly good threat, id rather use sleep or so, witchever can be used to slow him down, or remove posile blockers and also, without that many colours, its easyer to boost your creatures toughness with 2 boosters out, u can start loling of all vulcanic fallout and pyroclasm, and aswell, you need removal, 2dmg world efects are just killing elfs

i fucking love elves the only problem for me is...air i dont have a very good deck but its ok it is a pretty quick win unlike my previous mono-black, mono-white, white-green, and green blue
all of those i needed ALOT of mana to use
elves=cheaper than your mum
i like it because i have a few elves even if my oponet gets an advance on his lands (going first) i get a lianowar elf then immediatly a nettle sentinel (only 2-2 sucky but always beafed to about 6-6 to 8-8)

wel since m10, elves are only gong to get etter as well as in ZEN because they will get the elf planewalker...

the only thing about Elves are they die way to quick i have been working on my zombie deck and i have some pings that can take out most of the low elves witch would hurt in the long run

If so, then theres more than enough removal for Mono-black zombies to shake a stick at.
Especially because rolling 1 color in Standard is ok... if its kithkin or elves...
Tempo chief...tempo. I can't really think of a card in standard that can stabalize a mono-black deck other than maybe Stillmoon Cavalier, which can easily be avoided with a simple cancel.
