In response to the ignorant comment posted, women are not a special interest group. We are 51% of the population. The women's organizations that were cut run on few staff and many volunteers who are trying to eliminate violence against women, poverty and inequality.

Let's not play deaf and dumb: Harper is a neoconservative, meaning that as a conservative extremist, we clearly KNOW where his stance is towards women in general... IMHO, women needing to fight just to get equality of salary (amongst other issues),is just unbelievable, as well as the fact that our own PM is cutting all heir means to continue to fight for NORMALITY and DIGNITY... Unbelievable.

fuck women. the stupid bitches should not take part in our society. there too stupid to vote and cause accidents on the road all the time because they cant drive.

I see feminists still see women as victims because women do not hold a monopoly on advantages. I disagree, but who cares. If feminist organization were really helping women, why don't they run on private money. Tax money should never be used for politics - feminist politics, MRA politics, environmental politics or otherwise. Anyway every University has a Feminist Studies department researching for feminist causes. That's more than enough tax payer support.

Stupid video.

I think it's fantastic that men still get paid more than women.

More women graduate from undergraduate university programs than men.

Women and Men may not necceserily go for the same job and if they did the difference in pay comes down to being working extra hours or even how often asking for Raises or the amount asked for, it has nothing to do with the original salary.
This is mostly due to common social factors(e.g. a mother would be less likely to work extra hours than a father due to the role of looking after children and such). This would be the same for single parents(since most single mothers look after the children).

Wrong - time and time again it has been shown that women and men DO NOT make the same wage for the same job - and what the HELL does your second paragraph mean?
oh ya - MABY is not a word. MAYBE is.

I believe you can't say that childcare services fits into female-male equality because it effects single male parents.
One thing I don't like about videos like this is the comparisons of earnings. As it doesn't explain anything maby women earn 71 cents per dollar a man earns?
does this include non-working women, or just jobs that require the same ammount of hours and qualifications? is it measured on pay per hour or total earnings over a year? what size sample does it take and of which jobs?
-
Maby it's the job rather than the education, what makes you think that both men and women go into equally paying jobs?
Isn't possible that more men look for the best paying job they can get and women might want to look for the job that they like and suites there intrests in factors of working hours?
Because I'm sure if a man and a women had the same job at the same workplace they would be paid the same.

The number of females or males in colleges and universities in Canada is irrelevant. The reality is that men who graduate from college will earn on average $42 490 per year, whereas women with the same post-secondary education will only earn $31 376 per year. (Statistics Canada, 2006). The cost of living and tuition, however, are the same for both genders. We don't want to be victims, we just want equality!
