Let's have some fun in Baghdad

The newest ambitions regarding reconstruction projects in war torn Iraq now include an Amusement Park, designed by the same company which built Disneyland: War Profiteering has reached it's ultimate in the sense of the macabre. While over 500,000 Iraqi citizens, including children are dead, millions displaced, no potable water or dependable electric power, no medicine, hospitals + schools destroyed or barely functioning, THIS is what the Iraqi children will get in return: A theme park + reality show American style. I'm sure, that's exactly what they've been waiting for.

In a class at uni we were asked what is globalisation. My response was that it is the Americanisation of the world. This is what the invasion of Iraq is about - not WMD's. It's about people who already have too much money wanting to make more money and they do not care how many people die for the sake of their money-making ventures. I only hope that enough Iraqi's are wise enough to see the true agenda of America's military/industrial complex

Service members in Iraq become U.S. citizens

CAMP VICTORY, Iraq The largest United States naturalization ceremony to be held overseas took place Saturday at the Al Faw Palace here.

Two-hundred fifty nine service members representing 71 countries held up their right hands and pledged their allegiance to the country which they were already defending  thus becoming America's newest citizens.
