sounds good to me! get off foreign, dictatorship ran oil/energy and start green energy businesses and jobs; focus on making sure all americans get a good solid education (mathematics, science, literature, arts, philosophy) - not womens studies, inner city youth, etc. - which one can get through reading a couple of books;create an intelligent population that will be capable ofcompeting with india and china!!! all sounds good to me no matter what affiliation one has. very pro american!!!

Let's ask how many radical violent close friends McCain has and compared to Obama. Obama has at least two that have talked about (and one has acted to) violently destroying this country's institutions (Bill Ayers, one of Obama's best friends (who now, suddenly, according to Obama, he's just a neighbor). Funny, a "neighbor" in whose living room Obama kicked off his political career. The other, Rev Wright, is much less dangerous. All talk, no planting bombs or anything (unlike Ayers). McCain: 0

The market is very adept at making adjustments. It did not take long to develop the oil infrastructure once it became clear that oil was cheaper than steam. Our federal needs to take a hands off approach to energy. Stop subsidizing. Stop adding barriers to new players. Once oil became big it started adding laws to protect it against other forms of energy development. Without oil backing the environmental scare against Nuclear, we would have had 30 years of more nuclear power plant construction.

Right Newt - 3% of the world's oil reserves exist in the US, yet we consume 25% of the oil-let's open up all three percent, so we can reduce the price of gas by $.05 IN TEN YEARS when the 'drill here' oil comes on line (ask the oil industry themselves-the debate in Congress is about reserves that wouldn't actually produce for TEN YEARS). Energy independence means getting off oil period. Middle east oil will always be cheaper to produce than ours. We've got to make theirs (& ours) worthless.
