It's not just about the horrors done to the Jewish race. Christians of all denominations were also persecuted, as well as handicapped individuals and mentally challenged peoples. Same with people with politically different ideals. There were more deaths to these peoples than there were to all of the Jewish pepole killed. I'm not saying what was done to them was right, but - there were other 'victims' during the executions, enslavments and members of the different camps. Heil Freedom!

@star Austrians are german in blood, culture, launguage and tradition. They voted for the NDSP and was elected with outright majority higher than anytime in the USA, passed a law making them part of germany.

Germany is just the name they use for the state of the germanic people, infact it isn't the name they use at all, what they call it is deutschland, which means deutsch(people)land(land or land of the duetch. They are deutch. Any land with deutch in is deutch land technically speaking....

II say the same thing about all these crazy conspiracies, global warming - what proof, what do you mean you haven't seen any, but I have statistics saying the world isn't warming and you expect me to believe. @pgg804a Although I appreciate what you said, I have heard it alternately that if there had been a plebiscite Austria might have refused Hitler and Germany's attachment. I know the crowds in Vienna might indicate otherwise, but a crowded town square does not prove anything. Austrians don't like anyone, least of all Prussians. Hitlers appeal of being one himself might have immediately helped, but...

@pgg804a In fact the Austrians poored out onto the streets cheering Hitler and German soldiers when they entered Vienna. Austria embraced the National Socialists as much as the Germans did, in some ways even more so.

@starfirev And Hawaii was never a part of the United States until 1959 when it was made a state and many native Hawaiins still resent whites that come there.  Hawaii was an American colony, or as Americans refer to their own colonies - a "posession".

Germany didn't become a country until 1871. Prior to that there were many German states, the two most powerful being Austria and Prussia. Hitler was Austrian himself and when German soldiers crossed the border into Austria there was no fighting.

@pgg804a And Austria? Austria was never a part of Germany. They speak german, but were never part of a German state. Its like the US laying claim to Barbados, or Canada, on the basis of the fact they speak english. Hitler annexed it nonetheless.

Gdansk(Danzig) was founded by Poles, it was taken by Teutonic Order and then we have won Grunwald battle and got it back, then Germans captured the city again in XVIII century during partitions of Poland, so yes there was a German majority, because Germans kept this city for so long, finally we got it back in 1945, GDANSK is POLISH! In Gdansk SOLIDARITY movement was born! If Germans kept the city perhaps it would be another concentration camp!!
