I wouldn't really call this much of an upset. Once Elizabeth decided to have that Godless smear add was a big turnoff, and perhaps a bigger turnoff to some traditionally Red Voter's. Because we all know as church goer's that judging someone's faith is just absolutely something you don't do. And I know that there were families with high morale value's that didn't apprieciate such a smear attack on Hagan like that.
