The opening video from the lead track of the "A Time Will Come" album on the site www.aliceashley.com. The album is the last major new work co-produced by Gil Askey of Motown fame. Gil (84 but still gigging), as the musical director of Motown, made Diana Ross and The Supremes, The Temptations, The Four Tops and many many more. He was also nominated for an Oscar for the music of "Lady Sings The Blues".
The album was recently reviewed by a national music reviewer. He said "The music has a very natural, effortless, funky blend of Southern soul, gospel, smooth jazz, and R&B pop influences".
Has the team of Gil Askey and Alice Ashley (Singer, Composer and Producer) started a trend to bring back the sixties and seventies - 'telling the story with passion and with a full sound created by live musicians? You be the judge.
Great song! It speaks to what should be happening in the world right now, especially in the US. People need to listen, get back to basics whether at home or the work place. We need care again; be present; pay attention, be alert & call our leaders & elected officials to order. If they're only critical & offering no solutions; or when CEO's can't run a company that takes care of workers & shareholders, if you own a business & not providing good service, time to go. We all must do our best!
