  • Wasn't that the Everly Brothers in the first part?

  • That's great! Thank you!

  • @matd1g Love the song! Wow, Neil was so young in this video. Was so good looking back in the days and still is! Thanks for posting!

  • You are correct - it was 1998 and not 1988. What strikes me about these old Bang era songs is how good they still sound. These three-chord EAD progression songs that Neil Diamond wrote in the mid to late 60s thru 1972 were superb and will define him as one of the greatest songwriters of his generation. Pity about the shirts and the (lack of) direction his music took from the early 80s though until he teamed up with Rick Rubin in 2005 with 12 Songs. Nonetheless, Diamond remains under-rated.

  • The second one is from 1998, not 1988. I saw his show the night before this one was recorded, and I was pleasantly surprised to hear this song. I don't think I had ever heard him do it in a concert before that night.

  • Wow! Nice! Thanks for sharinf this :)

  • I like the 1988 version

  • How cool is this--he was just a kid--you are right Matdig

you never see this song live---thanks for sharing
