Being from Australia, I honestly couldn't tell you much about American cities. But I'd much rather live in Chicago from what I know. While congestion, pollution, crime and overall busyness of Chicago would make even Sydney and Melbourne look like country towns, I imagine it would be far more bearable than LA.

This should not be a war between LA and Chicago. They're both great cities in their own right. Although as far as seasons and weather go, those four seasons in Chicago can also bring it some of the shittiest weather in the country. Chicago has a larger and more established downtown with more buildings and LA is in an area with much more varied geography. Also LA people being fake is largely stereotype. That would suggest that other American cities are just purely genuine and down to earth.

@Monokuroxb00 chicago isnt boring. in fact, chicago is the most culturally diverse city in the world. and it would take YEARS to do every single thing there is to do in chicago. also, does LA get snow? NO CHICAGO IS BETTER!!! WE HAVE THE BLACK HAWKS WHO WON THE STANLY CUP IN 2010 AND THE WHITE SOX WHO WON THE WORLD SERIES IN 2005. SO DONT SAY THAT THERES NOTHING TO SEE IN CHICAGO OTHER THAN THE SKYLINE.

Maybe we cant compare to LA traffic because its not rush hour. I've made it to LA from West Covina in about 15 minutes with no traffic before. Its all about what time you go.
