Part 3 of 5
John Daido Loori speaks on Genjokoan, Baoche's Nature of the Wind. Practice & Enlightenment are not 2 & not 1, well that's just what I say but I don't really know. I give this teaching Ten Thousand & One gold stars. Tie it to your leg with a silver ribbon. Reach up and catch it, don't let it go over your head again. Don't you owe that much to your self?
The Truth of Buddha's Teaching is already in front of you. Completly revealed and manifested in full potential. Open your eyes and see, a red flower, blue sky, white snow, yellow dress etc. Open your ears and hear, a dog barking, storm growling, a mountain brook murmuring, people laughing etc. Everything is already acomplished. There is no need to sit for hours like a stone, with closed eyes and restrained breathing waiting for Enlightenment to come. Just see & hear clearly. Be Peace, at peace.

I somewhat agree lol. But, John Daido has been a huge part of what drew me into this practice. He said basically "If who we are inside is not what we appear to be, then we are not practicing...it's a mask, it's where we hide" I thought that was one of the most profound things I have ever heard.
