Papadums are madeof lentil flour, also called urad dahl, and seasoned with spices. They are best deep fried. You can find them in Indian grocery stores, with a choice of plain, chili, cumin or black pepper added. Papadams are rich in protein and fiber. They can be eaten as appetizers before a meal, or as a snack anytime. It takes only a few seconds to fry one up and they are the easiest quick starter to make. Serve them with any kind of drink or cocktail, they will be a crowd pleaser. They can be fried up ahead of time. The best is to start with a flavor that is not to spicy for your guests.
I wouldn't say you "made" anything, but you did cook a pre-packed poppadom.
