The Jolly Green Giant does a nice initial comparison of the 2 on his blog when he went to Trail Days last year:

After using this tent for a couple of months now I feel it is a very good lightweight option. However it does suffer from the same problems as other single wall tents. That being issues of condensation build up and the foot end transfering water to the footbox of my bag. I usually raise the foot end with sticks. I have a video showing this. Nice video.

Nice review! Thanks for sharing. Also nice of Stick to lend it to ya! Hope you get to use it in the woods soon!

Thanks for sharing the video John. Have you seen or had any experience with Lightheart Tents? I'd be curious about a head-to-head comparison with the Skyscape.

Thanks for the video and recommendation. You mentioned in your video that you'd like to see some additional re-enforcement at the apex of the tent. In your setup video, it appears you didn't notice the cross bar sleeve at the apex of the trekker. This sleeve secures the cross bar and keeps it from twisting under load. The fabric used to make the sleeve is over three times thicker than the silicone nylon. So this sleeve re-enforces the top of the tent.

six moon makes some really cool gear. They make this same tent out of CF too. I wonder how it would compare to this one as far as durability and what not. What are your thoughts?

Wish I had seen this tent before I got my Eureka Spitfire Solo. Although the designs are similar, the Skyscape has more foot room, more floor space, weighs less & packs smaller. The larger vestibules w/ access to both sides is a great feature. I see they also have a ‘porch’ option, which looks interesting. My Spitfire weighs 3 pounds and due to the length of the pole segments, packs over 21” long! If you’re willing to give up 10 oz, you can get the Skyscape Scout for just over $100 (34 oz)

I have a Lunar Solo and I love it. I looks to me like the Lunar Solo is a little bigger inside, but the skyscape has more headroom because of the stay, and is better for tall people. On the skyscape I've always thought the same thing about having a zipper porthole to access things in the extra vestibule. Just big enough to get your largest item through - a pack for instance - or even a full zipper as an option.

Thanks for making this video, not only was it informative for the new hiker/camper like myself, but it helped to cement my purchase of the Skyscape. Keep on, keepin' on.

Did you have the UPS guy set that up for you? Just kidding. Really cool design, and decent price .
Nice video John. I am glad that you got to try it out.
As far as not talking...that would have killed me...I would have had to say something! Haha...

@1377stick LOL yeah I keep trying different things in my videos to see what works for me and what I do not like. I could have talked and talked and talked about this tent because it really has some amazing complexities to it. So I figured I would save everybody the yapping. lol. Thanks again for letting me borrow this and hope you enjoy the goodies that got sent back your way!
