  • I JUST WANT TO WATCH THIS MOVIE!!!! :( SOOOO BADLY.. I can not find it anywhere :(

  • @misscarolinec I have seen this movie listed on ebay, I've not looked but I assume amazon has it. You might only find VHS rather than DVD.

  • The movie was really made to showcase Loni Anderson who was very popular at the time, but the choice to play Jayne Mansfield was a good one. Though the film was not totally accurate, it only focus on Jayne and Mickey's love story and her sudden success and down-spiral, Anderson did a fine job in creating her own version of La Mansfield. In the end the film does captures the Jayne Mansfield essence. Well worth watching.

Excellent summary you wrote. You are right the film is not completely accurate but it portrayed Jayne's rise and fall, it all happened a half a century ago and quite foreign from today's perspective.

  • WTF.... Arnold Schwarzenegger was in this movie. Now I have really seen it all. Arnold Schwarzenegger is connected to the elite and has dabble in creating this sexual nymphomaniac culture just as much as Jayne Mansfield was apart of it in her obsession (or manipulation rather from her handlers) to be Marilyn Monroe. Arnie's place in this docudrama is a much left field as him being the governor of California, unless you look into his background and realize his connections to occult rituals.

I don't think Arnold was thinking of a political career back when he was making this movie. But I agree he should have stayed with entertainment industry instead of trying to run a state government.

  • You forget, she gave us one more thing that Marilyn never gave us: Her gorgeous daughter, Mariska

  • Nobody Today Has The Fabulous Figure Of Jayne Mansfield. The Actresses Today Are Silly Thin Bones With Plasticbags In Their Bodys. Nobody Can Play Her!!!!!!!!

  • @Emannt2 I agree. People talk about how bad this movie, but it's actually very well done. The only they should've changed was the hair. It's too 80s meets 50s.

  • As long as Arnold has been in this country you think he could speak English better. I know Chinese college students who have been here 3 years who can speak it without an accent.

This was a so-so movie I wish they would do a better theatrical version on Jayne's life.

  • Christina Hendricks should play Jayne Mansfield in the next movie :D

  • @mdolivetti The whole nation of the US has been laughing at us Californians for about 8 years now. Yeah, The Terminator, a man who can't even speak English with proper grammar, governor. ~:-0

  • @mdolivetti Jayne's second marriage to Matt Cimber is totally ignored and passed on a note. While La Mansfield was only second to La Monroe, from what I've read Jayne's career took a while to decline. In this bio pic "Jayne" hasn't even made The Girl Can't Help It (1957) and things are beginning to look grim. This movie could have been 3 hours to cover more, like the excellent "Marilyn The Untold Story" with Catherine Hicks.
