This is the best iOS recording tutorial on YouTube! I even featured it in my favorites, thanks! :)

Nice easy to follow tutorial. I have had the ipad because of garage band. But I found that some
of the interface needed for mics and guitar inputs a bit expensive. The IXZ is a great solution to get started. Thanks.

Hi Jesse can you also you irig to record the instruments with this app?

@ElWeroo89 You can record acoustic instruments through the microphone, electric instruments through a cord into the interface, or virtual instruments inside the ipad.

Oh my gosh Jesse, this is such an awesome tutorial! I am assuming it is the same instruction with using a Mac computer? We have both an IPad 2 and Mac so can't wait to give it a try -- will try with both devices. (Must go out and get the tascam IXZ interface and AT 20/20 USB mic first though.) I'm so excited to try it. Mahalo for your help.

@lagaringer Thanks. I think you need an interface and standard mic OR a USB mic and the iPad camera adapter. But the Tascam won't accept a USB input. I bought the interface because I already had a condenser mic and wanted to be able to adjust and boost signals from various microphones and electric instruments. I had bought a USB mic before, a Behringer C1U, and it never had enough volume to record.
