  • Why didn't you just post a cover video? The instruction was not the best or explained very well.

  • could u teach us blind fiddler by steven stills

  • Hey JSYK he plays in Bensusan tuning, DADGAD. Gotta drop the B string to a A. Not quite there. makes it easier to play the intervals in the song. also for the solo. Good video and collection tho:)

  • I don't even play the guitar, but your video was really interesting to watch anyway. Fascinating stuff!

  • thanks Dude! Very helpful! The other half of the puzzle (my opinion) is learning the right hand finger picking. Stills dos this syncopated thumb back and forth on 6th and 4th strings - very tough to master! but knowing the chords is half the game!

  • @andrewmunro44 yeah likewise ;)

  • thanks man learnt in about 5 mins with your vid, when i have been tryin to learn it by ear for about a couple of months now lol.

  • This melody was possibly influenced by Neil's For the Turnstiles, from On the Beach around '74.

  • Well, I think I will revise my previous post. Years ago (1981 or 82) a pilot told me the 7 dial referred to instruments on a plane. But now knowing that Mr. Stills hangs out in England a lot, The 7 Dials is well known (but small) area in London's West End. Also It was still a byword for urban poverty in the early-twentieth century. I know believe this is the reference. But, hey I was could be wrong again. :) Check out Wikipedia "7 dials"

  • @micropirate I'm a private pilot and I wondered what the hell he was talking about in the song. Thought it was a place at first. Somewhere down in Louisiana or something. Always thought he said "southern dials". But thanks for setting the record straight. Now it makes sense.
