"La Isla Bonita" was written by Madonna, Patrick Leonard, and Bruce Gaitsch. Madonna released the song as a single in 1987 from her album "True Blue" and the single became a worldwide hit, one of Madonna's most recognized hits.
Alizée's live performance of "La Isla Bonita" presented here is from a 8 June 2003 French television tribute program to American singer Madonna and included guest artists performing some of Madonna's biggest hits. Alizée had been performing "La Isla Bonita" since early 2003 on tour, but the 2008 single was the first official recorded release of her version.
