This is basically a repeat performance of "Three Minutes Thru Timaru" (in the same Ford Escort), except its a number of k's up the road in Ashburton, a town of 13,000ish (between Christchurch and Timaru) commonly known by the locals as Ashvegas (and yes, there are gambling machines - no strip clubs!) with a rural hinterland, and a river flowing straight through the middle of it! - Ashburton recieves many tourists, however most of them travel straight through to the more scenic parts of NZ (Tekapo, Mt Cook, Wanaka and Queenstown) rather than stop...
