@slifergold Rotary engine doesn't belong to Mazda, Proton just have to buy the license from Wankel.

masalahnya, proton ada ke teknologi enjin ROTARY / WANKEL tu?? kalau proton nak teknologi enjin tu mestilah proton kena beli Syarikat Mazda dulu....

Enjin ROTARY / WANKEL adalah masa depan teknologi automotif, potensinya amat besar, pasarannya amat besar.. MAZDA RX-8 yg guna enjin ROTARY / WANKEL telah menang lebih kurang 37 anugerah antarabangsa, enjin rotary MAZDA pakai prinsip 3:1 utk gerakkan enjinnya. PROTON dgn divisonnya LOTUS sepatutnya peka dgn kemajuan enjin rotary ini.
MALAYSIA mesti bersungguh-sungguh untuk majukan engineering / kejuruteraan kita sendiri setanding dengan negara2 maju di dunia ini. ENGINEERING MALAYSIA MESTI MAJU

Pada mulanya enjin rotary/wankel lebih banyak menggunakan bahan api berbanding enjin omboh disebabkan terdapat campuran udara-bahan api yang boleh mengalir keluar terus dari rongga masukan ke rongga ekzos semasa peralihan kitar ekzos dan kitar aruhan. Walau bagaimanapun, enjin Renesis pada kereta Mazda RX-8 telah menghapuskan kelemahan ini dengan mengalihkan rongga masukan dan rongga ekzos daripada asalnya bersetentangan dengan permukaan rotor kepada bahagian tepi perumah.

bayangkan enjin MAZDA RX-8 Enjin Renesis 1.3L yang digunakan pada kereta Mazda RX-8 menghasilkan lebih kurang 238 bhp, manakala enjin S4PE 1.3L pada kereta Proton Saga hanya menghasilkan 94 bhp!!!

PROTON dan LOTUS sepatutnya bangunkan enjin rotary / enjin wankel sendiri, enjin rotary/wankel pada mulanya direka oleh Felix Heinrich Wankel (engineer/jurutera dari negara Jerman). enjin jenis rotary/wankel ini amat berpotensi besar, dan pasarannya amat luas.. bukan hanya pada kereta tetapi juga digunakan dalam bot laju, kapal terbang dan macam2 yg perlukan kelajuan tinggi disebabkan rekabetuknya padat dan ringan. rpmnya amat tinggi..

this is tuning workshop job done by MEM Motorsports
like in Japan have TOM'S for Toyota and NISMO for Nissan.. all that is tuning workshop which is really active in racing motorsports event.
If more people like you request this kind of high performance car, then we may see MEM motorsports open alot of its tuning workshop in Malaysia specially for PROTON fans like

Petter Solberg, Juara Dunia WORLD RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP tahun 2003 (8 tahun bersama Subaru World Rally Team) akan memandu PROTON SATRIA NEO S2000 dalam WRC 2010 dan akan membawa satu pasukan lengkap yang pernah terlibat dalam projek WRC SUBARU.

mike bagio, if you even know anything about racing,many top teams in racing in the world are based in the uk. Japanese car maker Subaru doesnt build their own rally cars either, but its built by prodrive. proton designed and built the neo production car, which is used as the base for this super2000 car according to FIA rules.. this is certainly the norm. and btw, where do you think mercedes F1 cars are built? just in case you didnt know, yup. in the UK.

the cars are built in the UK because all the suspention,seats,brakes manufactuers just to name a few are all based in the UK,so why spend thousands shiping all of these components to malaysia when you can build the cars in the UK like all the other works teams do,
