  • do you have to know NCO's to have them preform sword detail at your wedding?

  • Yes. These were all friends of ours. Generally your Marine will ask friends of his to perform the ceremony & you may have as few or as many Marines as you would like.

  • Of all the videos I've seen on the arch, this was the closest to being correct. If you would like to know how the arch should be done, look up MCO P5060.20, chapter 5, page 5-26. The kiss and the sword swat are extra. It's a Marine thing.

  • haha I like that lone guy's "yayyy" lol congratulations! I'm so happy for you! :)

  • Thats beautiful! :D congratulations to you both and hopefully one day ill have a marine wedding :)

  • congratulations :)

  • As far as I know, there is no meaning behind it. Just a "welcome to the Corps" gesture. Many of the ceremonies that you'll see have been changed and customized, as was ours. But the kiss and the swat is one of the must-haves.

  • my gf has the same name as her. i am most likely going to be a marine when i do marry her.

  • So cute.. beautiful dress

  • thanks...by the way i will be the marine
