@TheGamanic : Well, a year after I made that comment I think I may retract what I said and agree with you. I see a warming trend here where I live. I still believe however that any climate change is largely the result of solar activity with human activity contributing very little. Disclaimer: These are just my personal observations.

@auggiedoggy There has been warming though...

@verysillypenguin Unfortunately this is all ad hominem. If the village idiot said my house was on fire, and I assumed since he is the village idiot anything he says is nonsense, I'm going to be quite surprised to go home to a burnt-out house.

@marvinc999 i think, he was washed up, career hit a dead end like gore, and having being involved in politics he knew how 2 spin it. good for him i guess. got more publicity than he would have from just writing a book. moral of the story be skeptical of gore and monckton. sift through the crap spewing from both of their mouths and you'll find a couple gems but just a couple.

@marvinc999 yeah it's good he tells you not to take his word for it but he tries too hard for credibility . the pink logo he uses is just silly but other than that theres a lot other holes in his game. smart man but he has a journalism degree and not many people would take him very seriously. the thing is gore doesn't need to debate this guy. he was a scientific advisor with a degree in journalism. if he was spouting this stuff off in public service clearly no one listened.

Monckton is great, of course (unless you're one of Gore's Greenshirts), even though not a 'scientist'.
But there are OTHER 'sceptics' worth reading (for the literate, that is), such as:
Dick Lindzen, Nils Axel Morner, Ed Wegman, Bob Carter, Chris Landsea, Paul Reiter, Hendrik Tennekes.
And - unlike Big Al - they know how to read a graph !
Computer geeks can't even model an 8-runner horserace to find winners. And yet you believe they can 'model' the global climate ?
C'mon......!
