www.norml.org - At this year's NORML conference, a historic event took place, all of the leading candidates for the Denver mayoral race participated in a debate sponsored by NORML and moderated by Montel Williams. The candidates shared their insight and opinions on CO's new cannabis industry, and most importantly all of them voiced their support of it and were proud of the job creation it brought to their state.

  • weed should be legal for any adult, for any reason.

the government simply does not have the right to tell me what i can't put in my body. period. healthy or unhealthy, addictive or not, i don't give a fuck. i'm going to smoke weed if i want to and if you make it illegal, fine. feel free to throw away the potential billions in tax dollars, i'll just give my money to the gangs and cartels instead. fucking idiots...

  • What montel does not understand is in order to further protect medical users full legalization needs to happen cause medical users are being arrested they are not as protected as they think If it was fully legal they would be more protected. but to add to that there are thousands of people being murdered because of its prohibition A few months ago there were a couple of teenagers where shot a killed when they where trying to buy some weed I rather them steal it from there parents then dealers

  • Ron Paul 2012. HE WILL GET US WHAT WE WANT.

  • I once knew a guy with MS... and I smoked with him alot for free, I bet at one time montel had to get his weed from somewhere... maybve it was a guy like me .. the common smoker... thanks alot jackass !

  • I really don't understand Montel's logic at all. He seems like a rational person, yet he thinks that I, as a casual marijuana user, should be in a cage because cannabis gives me clarity, opens my mind to new ideas, and helps me to relax. Still clinging to drug hysteria it seems...

Also, how can somebody who benefits from the plant to the degree that he does still be in support of the egregious corruption that is rooted in marijuana prohibition?

  • I'll be "One Toke Over The Line " until the day I die! Long live marijuana! It's the only thing that helped me with my ADHD.

  • Nice open mind there, Montel. It's good to see new facts (or even old ones) won't get Mr. Williams to change. He's not for full legalization and that's final! Of course, he wasn't for pot use either until HE got sick. i imagine if full legalization could help him in some way he'd change his tune, PDQ. It's the typical logic of the privileged; stuff should only be allowed that affect me personally. If it doesn't affect me personally, then it shouldn't be allowed. I got mine, screw you.

  • The votes of Denver really could have used this video before the last election.

  • Curse the DEA and those that continue to support Marijauna prohibition. Congress is making the DEA , police rich (55 billion taxpayers dollars) by arresting americans for growing, using a weed. Alcohol, tobacco is far more dangerous and they are legal. Whats wrong with congress, whose business are they protecting. Not the hemp industry. Kept cannabis illegal, kept drug dealers in business.
