Exhaled nitric oxide monitoring, a new technology in the management of asthma was featured in the ABC7 local channel news in San Francisco. It is a new medical device called the Insight eNO System developed by Apieron in Menlo Park, CA. Dr James Wolfe, an allergist in San Jose who was interviewed said that eNO is a marker of the degree of inflammation in the airways of people with asthma and it helps physicians to precisely adjust medication. It allows physicians to effectively control the amount of steroids that they give their patients. This device was developed by Dr. Bhairavi Parikh of Apieron. Watch to learn more.
