***SEE THE VIDEO RESPONSE FOR A TUTORIAL!***
Hey, me again with another test video! (RE-UPLOADED: Better color range)

As I've mentioned before, I got interested in the whole "real-life portal" thing... so... what I did here, was take my lovingly handcrafted portal element and put it on a motion-tracked wardrobe. Looks really good, I might add :D
Pretty neat, huh?
But that's not all... There is more to come and this technique is really interesting!

  • Dude obviously fake...... Everyone knows you shoot the blue portal first

  • @OBLiViONxVZx On the contrary - I usually shoot the orange one because while doing a flinge or whatnot it's just more convenient for me to shoot the blue one later when I'm moving fast :D

  • @QUATR00 besides, thers a acievement in still a live called 'out of the blue', where you go through a level without entering the blue portal at all

  • @jchkiddo cool :D

  • holy crap.

  • i hear the Energy Ball

  • look like real to me

  • @jchkiddo yep, it's made more challenging because people shoot the blue portal first, but it's stupid anyway :/

  • @jchkiddo no when you have controll of both portals never enter the blue for the rest of the game and when you finished the boss you get the achievement

  • You can't place a portal on wood.

  • @guyboy625 That was clearly around my first portal elements. The new ones don't have this issue anymore. Blending modes did not help in this case as the black haloing had to be keyed out :)

  • Nice motion tracking. But I think you should do something about the black halos around the particles. They should be luminous, not absorbent. Perhaps adjusting the animated image or maybe trying another blending mode will help.
