  • what scene is julie dench's clip on the bottom right from?

  • @pouvait The clip with Judi Dench is a 'visualization' of the First Player's' speech which is in Act 2 Scene 2

  • This soliloquy is performed so amazingly...Ken is such a perfect Hamlet =D

  • I can't count how many times I've watched Hamlet, but in this scene, I'm still moved when he shouts 'vengeance'.

  • BETTER AND BETTER! (if it should be possible....) Thank you so much! Come on, TOF! You have still 227 mins of my favourite Hamlet to edit again.......But I can wait (not too long....LOLOLOL!)

  • Er..... I'm retiring lol

  • @eamon1w John Gielgud said there're thousands ways to play Hamlet...Each person has got his OWN favourite Hamlet, a version closer his heart .

I know nothing about the iambic pentameter, but I watched Tennant's /Oliviers'/Burton's/Jacoby's version and I think Branagh's one is the most plausible, I can identify myself with him: I AM Hamlet when he's playing Hamlet, that's all. Isn't this the purpose of a good acting?

  • This is my favourite scene's Branagh

  • @tediousoldfools

Is your username a reference to the line Hamlet says after talking to Polonius and feigning madness, "These tedious old fools"?

  • Isn't the best Hamlet Shakespeare's Hamlet?

  • I am looking to do this soliloquy for my drama school audition's coming up soon but the piece has to be less than three minutes would it be a good choice or not as I cannot think of a good place to cut it off. So far I stop at why what an ass am i just trying to think if I stop there does it make any sense.

  • I love this version of Hamlet. but I think he rushes this soliloquy a bit and makes it sound a bit forced
