In charity event at London Palladium. 4th May 2008. Quality gets much better from 2:04 --- sadly event was ruined by excessive attendence of overtly gay bald and excitable camp brigade, whose rudeness to the women attending was strange! and their fashion sense was perverse!

  • In 2009 Angela Lansbury was honored by the New York Senate for her support of gay rights. Truly a beautiful and caring person.

  • @heathfitzgerald yes I am sure she is a caring person, but I have just been exploring why Gay men are so obsessed with her and others like her. Confused, and the Gay majority of the audience ruined the show.. trying to make it into a gay event.

  • what a string of homophobic comments by the poster of this video iancoley...sad...if you don't want to meet gays then don't go see a jerry herman tribute featuring the great barbara Cook and the legendary Angela Lansbury..idiot

  • @Dirkdebruyne don't come on my video calling me an idiot! I went to take my partner to see Angela Lansbury! And why do GAYS... yes gay boys ... follow women like angela and barbara? watch men! if that does it for you! You can answer to your maker, or mother nature herself for your sexuality! I am proud to be hetrosexual ! attending a event like this show was ruined by unnatural CAMP grown men... Humans are not born CAMP, yes maybe born gay, but why do your type have to act up to a stereo type?

  • "Various Show headliners"?? Like Who exactly? With all due respect to Ron Raines, Don Pippin, Klea Blackhurst, Melissa Errico, and Sal Viviano - I had never heard of them and suspect the vast majority likewise. whereas Barbara Cook is a true legend (simply engine search would suffice!!) As for "gays trying to ruin the show" that was achieved by the production levels of a school prom - as the review in the Independent said "Jessica Fletcher should investigate this crime of a show"

  • mrgary, this was a charity show, stop moaning like a gay boy. All those you lised performed well, and refreshing to see younger talent. I had no idea who cook was anyway, so no shame she didn't make it, and herman was the writter, so no lack of performance there either, Angela was the star, and the others put on great show. The crime was that the charity had allows mass gayness to invade the place.. a strange "old man" gayness ... that was rude and arrogant!.

  • MrGay66, well I paif £250 for both myself and my wife, we got to meet the stars, and some celebrities after the show, my wife had a great time/ It was a charity event, and to be honest I had never heard of B Cook anyway. I am not a great fan of aids charities, HOWEVER.. your attitutude is strange, there were various show headliners there, and loads of songs/ It was not the fault of the charity that Herman was ill, chill out. I imagine you are one of the gays who was trying to ruin the show?

  • When tickets were sold at upto £250 EACH based on Lansbury, Cook and Herman making appearances and only Lansbury being bothered to turn up then it was a MASSIVE rip off - they also promised "stars of stage and screen" - sorry but those other performers are not "stars" - total and complete rip off - never support Crusiaid ever again

  • antod11, exactly, why do gays love madonna, her image and act is very explicit in a hetrosexual manner, surely some confusion within the gay mind?
