A gelding is a castrated animal — in English, the term specifically refers to a castrated male horse or other equine such as a donkey or a mule. As a verb, it also refers to the castration procedure itself. The word comes from the Old Norse geldr ("barren").[1] Castration, and the elimination of hormonally-driven behavior associated with a stallion, allows a male horse to be calmer and better-behaved, making the animal quieter, gentler and potentially more suitable as an everyday working animal.

Ok u obviously don't ride horses because I have ridden both gelded and intact horses and the gelded one is smoother and gentler to ride. Also the rate of unwanted horse birth is riding every year so always geld a stallion that you do not intend to breed.

this is stupid i have been working with horse's for 11 years and I've know beautiful and loving stallions! i hate this! i mean it calms them down but would you like your balls hacked of? And yeah they did a good job but still it's stupid! I don't see why they just can't leave them be!?

The video S&M of Rihana was restricted in so much country's - but this video of Discovery it isn't restricted on TV (and the show is in the day) and the Youtube. I find it very diturbing. It isn't a real good reason to do gelding. If you don't want a animal just sell it. It is a owner for any type of animal however agressive it is.
